From October 27 to November 3, a business mission of Uzbek entrepreneurs visited the United States with the support of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Business Diplomat. The trip was organized to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation and promote Uzbek goods in the US market.
The delegation presented the UZBEX electronic platform in New York. In Washington, its members held talks with representatives of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the law firm White & Case, and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).
The discussions addressed increasing exports, attracting investment, and strengthening business ties. In California, the Uzbek entrepreneurs also reviewed the operations of Amazon’s logistics infrastructure.
One of the visit’s practical outcomes was the opening in the United States of a specialized showroom and logistics warehouse to promote products from Uzbekistan in the local market. The infrastructure is expected to broaden export opportunities for domestic businesses and reinforce the Uzbekistan-US economic partnership.
